Two VERY Happy Campers

We are two very happy campers here
in London! Phyllis is thrilled that her Kansas Jayhawks have taken the national championship in College basketball last night. The game started at 2:21 AM (notice the clock) Ed got up for a bit of the game but KS started losing so he went back to bed. What a game!
Ed had his big day today. After
months of studying, a driving theory test, and hours of tedious driving instruction, he finally got to take the practical driving exam. Only 47% of candidates pass on the first try but, with the help, advice, and encouragement of lots of people - including my driving instructor Alexander Frederick (cool name, huh) WE DID IT!!! The permanent licence will arrive in a few weeks.

Wow, it would be tough to learn to drive on the wrong side of the road! I'd be afraid I'd forget and drift over to the other side. Yikes!

And of course, Rock Chalk! :D

Way to go Ed! I think anyone that can drive that blue "bus" as the kids call it, through those tiny, busy, streets deserves their license. What a great game! I wanted to Skype Phyllis in the middle, but I was afraid it would mess up her watching. I looked at the clock here when it was over, and wondered if you had made it all the way through! We miss chatting with you already!

Nice job Ed for passing the test. I think it would be just tough remembering which side to get in the car to drive it. Let alone remember which side of the road. Do London drivers drive good or bad? Or do they drive pretty fast and scary?

Yeah, the game and the after-game was great!! Glad that you got to watch it instead of just listening to it. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS, BABY! (think Dick Vitale here!) :)

London Drivers are much more patient (most of the time). Since U-turns are legal here (I had to do one on the test)and it is okay to park facing the wrong way on the streets, they often have to wait while another driver makes one of these disruptive maneuvers - most of the time nobody even toots a horn. Its amazing!

What? Do you mean your thousands of trips from Harper to RMMC did not qualify you for an automatic license?
